Rescue and Rehabilitation of Wildlife
Our History
The Littlest Wildlife Hotel was set up by Nikki Rule-Jackson in 2019, it rapidly became used by local people who found injured and orphaned animals, by 2020 it was rescuing animals from a wider area in Cornwall and ended the year with 40 hedgehogs, 8 pigeons and 4 collared doves
Wildlife Rescue North Devon
At the end of November 2021 the Littlest Wildlife Hotel, which had by now outgrown our home in Cornwall, moved to Alswear, South Molton, in North Devon. We now have bigger facilities to accommodate a larger number of animals in need and offically opened our doors on 1st February 2022.
In 2023 we admitted over 400 animals, the vast majority of which being hedgehogs and with the pressure on Wildlife increasing from growing human encroachment, with large scale housing developments, trees being cut down, woods felled, road building and more traffic, the need for our services in North Devon will sadly only grow.
Our Mission
We believe in a world where the lives of animals are respected, and they are free from cruelty and suffering.
We also believe that animals found in North Devon should remain in North Devon for their rehabilitation and subsequent release.
100% of Donations go towards supporting local Wildlife
We fund everything from food to vital medicines, heating and cleaning. We recieve no funding other than your generosity.
We work to the 5 freedoms when working with wildlife
